Substance Disclosure & Medical Detoxification Policy | Holina Village Cyprus

Holina Global Policy

As a condition of admission to Holina Village, every client is required to provide complete, truthful and accurate information during the admission and self-assessment process regarding all alcohol, drugs, prescription medications and other substances currently or recently used, including benzodiazepines, opioids, sleeping medication and sedatives.

Holina Village relies upon this information to determine whether a client can safely and appropriately participate in the programme.

Failure to Disclose

Any deliberate failure to disclose, concealment or material misrepresentation regarding substance or medication use shall constitute a material breach of the conditions of admission.

If, following arrival, it becomes apparent that a client has undisclosed substance dependence, is experiencing withdrawal, or requires medical detoxification or stabilisation, Holina Village reserves the right to immediately suspend or refuse admission to the programme.

Medical Detoxification

Holina Village is not a medical detoxification facility. Where medical detoxification is required, the client must complete detoxification at an appropriate external hospital, licensed detoxification facility or other qualified medical provider.

The client will not be admitted or readmitted to Holina Village until the required detoxification has been completed and appropriate medical clearance has been provided, confirming that the client is medically suitable to participate in the programme.

This is particularly important in relation to benzodiazepines, alcohol, opioids, sedatives and other substances where withdrawal may require medical supervision.

Costs and Responsibility

Any additional costs arising from undisclosed substance or medication use — including medical assessment, detoxification, hospitalisation, medication, transportation or other external services — shall be the responsibility of the client and/or the person financially responsible for the client’s treatment, subject to applicable law.

In the event a medical detox is required, an additional fee of €3,500.00 will apply. Such costs are not included in the standard Holina Village programme fee.

Medical detoxification and external medical treatment are provided by independent healthcare providers. Holina Village is not responsible for the independent clinical decisions, acts or omissions of such external providers, to the extent permitted by law.

Acknowledgement

By confirming this policy as part of your intake submission, you confirm that you have provided complete and truthful information concerning your medication, alcohol and substance use.

You understand that failure to disclose relevant information may result in your admission being suspended, postponed or refused, and that you may be required to complete external medical detoxification at your own expense before being considered for admission or readmission to Holina Village.
